Ordination of Fr. Matthew Martinez OP

On the 2nd of August another brother of the Irish Province was ordained to the priesthood. The ordination took place in St. Finbar’s Church, Port of Spain, Trinidad. The ordaining prelate was Fr Joseph Harris CSSp, archbishop of Port of Spain. Also present were Robert Rivas OP, archbishop of St Lucia and a  member of the Irish Dominican Province, Jason Gordon, bishop of Barbados, and Malcolm Gault, bishop emeritus of Barbados.

The church was filled with family and friends to attend the very solemn and prayerful ceremony. See some pictures of the ordination below:
