Angelic Warfare Confraternity Father and Son Pledge Day
Mass. Pledge. Lunch. Sports. Holy Hour.
Where: Newbridge Dominican College, Co. Kildare.
When: Sunday 30th August, at 12 noon Mass.
The Mass is followed by lunch & family sports. Finishing with a preached Holy Hour 4 pm-5 pm.
Cost per family, including two-course lunch, and Angelic Warfare medals & pack, €90 (all the family welcome).
The yearly pledge.
The pledge for sons:
- 8-10yrs: Not to own a smartphone. A daily prayer with their father.
- 11-13yrs: Not to own a smartphone. A daily prayer with their father.
- 14-17: To use only a designated Family Phone, with son’s use regulated by their Father. A daily prayer with their father.
The pledge for fathers:
- A sacrifice for the spiritual support of their sons: no non-essential internet use on Sundays. Exceptions for work/transport, logistics/emergencies, and time with their son e.g. watching a match on GAA+
- To take part in, with their sons, one (regional or national) Angelic Warfare Confraternity activity in the year (important for fathers and sons to meet others who have pledged)
- Within the year for fathers to guide their sons through two short Faith Formation programmes (a Dominican will help Dads with this)
