A statue of Our Lady of Fatima, blessed by Pope Francis, has begun a tour of Ireland. In a celebration of 100 years since the Virgin Mary appeared to three children in the Portugese village, the three-foot-high statue started its journey in Armagh and a series of services will take place across Ireland to mark the jubilee year of the apparitions.
The pilgrim statue will be in the Newbridge College Church from Friday the 1st of September till Sunday the 4rd of September, with the following program:
Friday: 8 pm: Welcoming ceremony with Holy Mass
10 am: Holy Mass with special homily
5pm: Cenacle of prayer for priests
5.30 pm: Holy Mass and farewell Ceremony
